I’ve always felt a kinship with the humble jackalope, neither one thing nor the other–recognizably familiar, but just a bit odd. Jack, then, is the perfect comic alter ego, the ideal mouthpiece for someone generally suspicious of categories and consensuses.
Plus, they’re fun to draw. So are snapping turtles.
Jackalope Landing is a comic about philosophy and politics and history, all from a gently center-left perspective. I hope you enjoy it.
